Home garden, haunted

The home garden in Kibbutz Harduf was established in 2007  The "Home Garden" was established in collaboration with the "Hiram" community - a rehabilitation center for people after or during a mental crisis.

The garden strives to create a healing space that will allow a person to become stronger, educated and reconnected to himself and the environment.

The "Home Garden" grows seasonal vegetables, fruit trees, fruit bushes and vineyards for the market in Kibbutz Harduf, as well as food for the organic barn in Harduf.

From the beginning, the home garden has been working with the methods of biodynamic agriculture and sees this as a way of long-term development for the farm.

Dikla Zisman, class 5, environmental consultant and establishes a biodynamic farm in the Golan

"I was at a biodynamic agriculture workshop in Jordan, where I met Liron and a bunch of lovely Israeli and Jordanian farmers. On the way to the workshop I felt I had found my way and that I was going to get excited. And indeed there was, and even more. It started from a deep and spiritual place and I was looking for more practice. But very quickly I connected to the spiritual place and the practice came soon too.
Recommend to anyone, a garden farmer, and ordered to join the fascinating biodynamic journey. To understand what a land is like a child, with its own character and qualities, to give it all that is possible, from the heart and the toil and to receive its fruits. ”

Adva Manor, 1st cycle, gardener

“One of the things that was most significant to me was agriculture in community participation.  Meet more people who are looking to innovate and create in the realm of consciousness and earth - yes  A common denominator of human love for all who came to the meetings in the course. I met a lot of goodwill and a common concern around our and the land's nourishment made me want more of it. The experience of combining resources and amazing wealth when you meet and share a way I really got rich from everyone in his field is - and this is how I  I would like to continue it - the mutual learning and the cooperation - the synergistic effect that the whole is worth more than the sum of its parts - this is in my eyes a characteristic of a livestock  And also in the social economy which constitutes the biodynamic circle  When every detail supports the rule. Talia Minster, Round 3, Community Gardens Instructor

"There is a principle in permaculture called expanding the edges because abundance is at the edges.
This course has expanded me the edges to understand the importance of each component in the ecosystem, and the interesting ways of biodynamic agriculture to support this system.
An important course for those who want to deepen their understanding of the soil and everything that affects its growth and health. ”

Biodynamics  (Biodynamic agriculture) is an ecological, ethical and spiritual approach to agriculture and horticulture, which takes the principles of organic agriculture to a deeper level. Biodynamics also does not use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides or pests; But biodynamics is not only about what should not be done, but strives to establish a diverse, balanced and independent agro-ecosystem - which produces fine, nutritious and delicious food.
Biodenamics evolved from the work of the philosopher and educator Rudolf Steiner and has been active for about 91 years in all climatic regions of the world and in a variety of forms and perimeters: from the home garden to orchards, vineyards and field crops. At the basis of the approach is a deep understanding of the world of life and the forces that shape it and from this vision a variety of
Practical tools for agricultural work and gardening.
